Oh Sweetie, I'm sorry your Mom is making you feel bad about your decision to love and collect AG Dolls.
I started collecting AG Dolls in 1989 when I received Samantha for Christmas that year. Around the time I was 12 I decided that I was to old to play with my dolls. So my AG things sat in a part of my room and for a few years I barely touched them. At some point in my teens I started to look at and play with my AG Doll things again but not too often. Then after high school I moved and all my Doll things were packed up. Recently I had to get all of my things out of storage which included my AG Dolls and things. And I've never been so excited to see them! I just had my 25 birthday and I'm just as excited about AG as I was when I first found out about AG in 1989! When I started to get back involved with AG I worried that I was too old for Dolls and people would think I'm silly or crazy. But you know, I have my bachelors degree from a private college, I have a good job and I just won't let anyone make me feel gulity about collecting AG Dolls.
I really hope your Mom will understand your love of AG Dolls. I understand that it's important to you that she understands, and I really hope she will make an effort. Maybe like the other girls said if she looks at this board it may help because she will see how many of us that are in our 20's or older. What about a Mother, daughter trip to one of the AG Places. She could see first hand how their is collectors at all different ages all in one store running around being excited about the dolls. Good luck with everything!
